The first of our Sunday Blues Show series at the PowerHouse Pub really came outta the gate smoking..! Nevada County local favorites Bob Mora & The Third Degree started the whole shebang and really set a high level to follow. Craig Horton let nobody down with his ala carte Chicago-style blues. Headliner Rusty Zinn covered a extremely wide variety of the blues genre from R&B to Reggae. With his skills gaining wider recognition as a player/songwriter/producer, it's easy to understand why people like Pinetop Perkins to Kim Wilson are so attracted to Rusty. For the Raffle we had a super array of items from Jim Von Tellrop and the Raffle Crew. A drink kit (drink glass, shot glass & cozzie) from the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis, Indiana, a gift certificate from SunRiver Clothing in Auburn, and four CDs - Sean Costello, Hubert Sumlin, Mick Martin & The Blues Rockers and Squarefield Massive. Jim's sister, Gayle Von Tellrop, even donated an assortment of perfume items from her place of business from down in Marin. Checkout these pics ! |
