LOOSE CHANGE BLUES BAND

TO HOST SIERRA BLUES SOCIETY S

SUNDAY BLUES JAM & GOODTIMES

AT THE

COUNTRY CLUB SALOON IN LOOMIS

ON APRIL 20TH

On Sunday April 20nd we ll be wandering down the hill to a new venue for us, the Country Club Saloon in Loomis, CA. Loose Change Blues Band from Nevada City will be bringing in all their gear as the host band for this month's get-together and helping us bring our flavor of a good Sunday afternoon of blues to rattle the rafters! As usual, the jam will be goin  from 1:00   6:00 PM.

Nestled on Taylor Road just northwest of I-80 and Sierra College Road, this establishment has been going for longer than any of us can remember! I believe that it was there when Taylor Road use to be Highway 40. Well over forty plus years anyway! Rhonda Drake and her partners are really trying to establish this as the place to be. And ya know us!

Loose Change Blues Band performs steadily at clubs and benefits thru out the foothill communities. They're always a crowd pleaser with their own flavor of blues and rock. The band members consist of Mike Trahern doing vocals and harp, Sam Camillucci weighs in on vocals and keyboards, and slapping the plank (guitar) and rounding out the vocal talents is Ron Talbott, and Jim Hardy supplying the foundation on drums with the smooth complimentary bottom end of bass by Mark Skrukrud. All veterans of the music scene, this band really knows how to put together a great show!

If you have a blues band, come on in and we'll get ya'll up right after the host band open up the extravaganza! We do limit the number of bands playing as a unit, right after the host band, to three so that we have enough room for all the great musicians that participate in our jams, so come early and get signed up. But please help us out by make as much use of the host band s equipment (no complete kit changes). As always, individual artists are especially encouraged to come out for the jam. You never know who you might end up playing with.....could be Andy Keane, Steve Foster, Wingnut Adams?

So grab your axe and head over to the Country Club Saloon, 4007 Taylor Road, Loomis, CA on Sunday April 20th. As always, admission is FREE! But donations are gratefully accepted. We'll kick-off the event at 1 PM, so come and show your support for blues music in the foothills and help us preserve its legacy in the foothills! For further information call the Country Club Saloon at 916/652-6038; the Sierra Blues Society at 530/268-9166 or visit our website at www.sierrabluessociety.org. See Ya'll There!
